Thanks to all who replied regarding my mailbox problem. Turns out that I'm
using MH mailboxes, and that there was not an .mh_sequences file in the
directory that was causing problems. I'm not sure how that file was generated
in each of the other mailboxes (directories) I created.
BTW, can someone point me to a good FAQ that talks about the pros and cons of
each mailbox system (mbox, maildir, and mh).
