index mail directory

I have a lot of mail boxes and sometimes I can't remember where I put
things. A few years ago I tried using an old version of glimpse (
http://glimpse.cs.arizona.edu/ )to just index my ~/Mail directory. And
then when I couldn't remember who sent me a message about something, I
could use glimpse to tell me where it was. This was way faster than
grep. Is there something like that that will work from inside mutt.
