on redhat linux 6.1.

I have noticed that the index(for any mailbox) does not get refreshed regularly. At
times, the status bar says "New mail in this mailbox", but the mails are
not displayed in the index. When I press 'enter' to view the mail mutt
crashes. Even when I save changes to the mailbox('$'), the index does not get
updated. I have to reread the mailbox to get the index updated.

Is anybody else facing this same problem? Is there a fix for this or is
it because of my settings? I can send my .muttrc if anybody is
interested.

Thanks in advance,
Raju
