 Oops, sorry, I misread your message. You are refering to
 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>?

 Still, what I posted applies. The problem can be remedied by setting
 hostname explicitly in .muttrc.

 Besides, bouncing emails with malformed bad message-id's is a daft idea.
