 Provide copies of the mail logs on both servers, will you?  Frequently, even
 normal users can read the logs, on several unix systems.
 
 I suspect the problem is that, when you bounce a message, set envelope_from
 is disregarded (this is a feature, not a but, I'm told).

 So, if your sendmail on machine #2 doesn't have masquerading set up you
 might be sending out mail with envelope from <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
 or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - which most receiving MTAs will reject.
