Hi, all --

The other day, in the midst of the "how do I fcc to two folders at once?"
threads, I mentioned that I'd like to see a relational database as a
mail folder system. My thoughts on the matter were that I currently fcc
into only the first recipient's box and that makes it tough when I know
that I sent my brother, say, an email but don't remember who was first
on the list.

It suddenly occurred to me that perhaps maildirs and symlinks can do
this for me today. If one had a single maildir into which all emails
went and then had other maildirs which, instead of having files, had
symlinks back to that maildir, then a single message could have multiple
links pointing to it and be "in" multiple folders at once.

Does it make sense? Does it sound codable? Could it be patched into
mutt? (the most important question, of course :-)

TIA & HAND

:-D
