Mutt does not do smtp. So no, you can not.

man muttrc is usually a very good start. Also pretty complete manual is
available on the Mutt's web site http://www.mutt.org 

Yes, I know that most of the people do not like reading manuals, but Mutt
is not your Windows Point and Click Outlook thingy.... It is way more
advanced and way more flexible, but to take full advantage of Mutt's
features and flexibility you got to RTFM. Sorry.
