That sounds like a bigger hassle than just typing 'm' (or the key to which you've bound 'mail') and entering the mailing list address. If the address is a pain, make an alias for it. Keep in mind that "the appropriate headers" will include reference information, which can only be deleted by editing the headers, AFAIK. -- rjbs
