Try /usr/local/lib/mutt as well. /usr/lib/mutt isn't a part of $PATH so you have to set: set pgp_encrypt_sign_command="/usr/lib/mutt/pgpewrap gpg --passphrase-fd \ 0 -v --batch --output - --encrypt --sign %?a?-u %a? --armor --always-trust \ -- -r %r -- %f" in your muttrc.
