Got it working now ... here's what works: folder-hook mutt-users 'push <delete-pattern>~r>5d!~F<enter>' Note small differences in the quoting. Also note that on some of my folders I had something like: folder-hook list/abc 'push <delete-pattern>~r>5d!~F<enter>' but to get it to work I had to change the slash to a period in the folder name like this: folder-hook list.abc 'push <delete-pattern>~r>5d!~F<enter>' -- Kevin Coyner GnuPG key: 1024D/8CE11941
