I'm getting an error message when trying to send mail externally (thru
our dsl isp's server) that authentication is needed.
Would appreciate information on how to set up the user name and
password
for this.
The setting you're looking for (assuming you're using mutt 1.5.15 or
newer) is $smtp_url. You'd add a line to your muttrc something like
this:
set smtp_url="smtp://user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/"

Thanks. However, we've got mutt 1.5.13 - we're using debian and it seems
that's the most recent they offer.
I got an error message trying to use set smtp_url.
