actully, i thought by default, mutt compiles wth imap support? Does it?

set folder="imap://<servername>"
set spoolfile="imap://<servername>/INBOX"

I've tried but i keep getting prompted with
imap://<servername> does not exist. Create it? ([yes]/no):
