pdf-files destroyed, where are archives?

Hi,

I cannot find archives of the mutt mailing lists. 
On http://www.mutt.org/mail-lists.html is a link "MARC", but it does not seem 
to work.

I am trying to find an answer to this problem:
When I send a pdf-file as an attachmend, it gets destroyed.
Ubuntu 12.04, mutt Mutt 1.4.2.3i 

Did not happen with older ubuntu but same mutt.

Any ideas?
