Interesting idea.  But on reflection, I don't think so.  I have screen
sessions running at work (with mutt running in one of its pages) and
routinely leave it overnight or weekends with no problems.  The
disconnects are pretty irregular, but sometimes have been just minutes
apart, other times a day or two apart.
