I'm running mutt 5.22 on a MacBook, with header caching built in. I'm using this to read mail via IMAP. I have set up header cache directories, and they all appear to be getting used. Mutt created directories for all my folders.
Yet frequently when I visit a mailbox, I get 30 seconds or a minute of "Fetching message headers ..." displayed at the bottom. This is typically when visiting large folders, even though there may be only one or two new messages. Am I missing something? Isn't the point of header caching to make opening the folder nearly instantaneous? Thanks! -pd -- ---- Peter Davis The Tech Curmudgeon www.techcurmudgeon.com
