Maybe a macro [1] (exploiting <attach-key>) could do? Have you considered uploading your key to a pgp keyserver? In my opinion it is a more reliable and sensible way to share your public key. [1] http://dev.mutt.org/trac/wiki/MuttGuide/Macros
