AFAIK it was never announced that www.mutt.org is available via https.
It's not mentioned in the docs, the man page says:
        Mutt Home Page: http://www.mutt.org/

To me this a combination of users falsely omitting the protocol from
URLs (trained by bad UI of web browsers) and a misconfigured web server.

OTOH, I don't blame anyone for expecting https to work in 2026.

I CC'ed Kevin. I guess he knows who could fix this, but I expect this to
be low priority on the list.

I think this was discussed before, but I could not find it in the
archives.
