Job Details:
Senior Java Programmer: Financial – Trading Applications (ION experience
REQUIRED)
This is a mid-to-senior Java developer position requiring at least 5 years
continuous core java experience, preferably in the Fixed Income trading
world. The candidate should have done extensive core, multi-threaded server
side development and have worked intensively with messaging and event
driven platforms.
*Platforms (in order of importance)*
Linux, Windows Server, Solaris
*Java API Programming *
*Required:* Java 1.5+, native threads, Java util.concurrent or Doug Lea’s
concurrent, JMS, JDBC, sockets or NIO, Spring (bean-wiring), extensive
Collections, I/O, SAX and/or JAXP knowledge or experience
*Desired:* JSP/Servlets, Tomcat
*Messaging *
*Required:* JMS
*Desired:* TibcoEMS, Sonic, ActiveMQ, experience or knowledge of other
messaging platforms such as TibcoRV desirable
*Programming/Development Utils/skills*
*Required:* Knowledge of and experience using all major design patterns
*Programming/Development Frameworks *
*Required:* Apache Commons, Spring bean wiring
*Desired:* All things Spring, Guava, Caching software (eg.,
Coherent/Tangosol, EHCache, JBossCache, Gigaspaces), Grid/DAG software
*Develop, Build (in order of importance)*
*Required:* Maven, Eclipse, SVN or CVS
*Desired:* MKS Integrity, Ant, Hudson
*Databases (in order of preference)*
MS-SQLServer, Sybase, Oracle
*Scripting, etc. *
Unix Shell (ksh, bash), Perl
*Other Technical/Business *
*Required:*
*Desired:* FPML, FIX Engines (QuickfixJ or Cameron or NYFix)
*Vendor Platform (experience preferred but not essential)*
ION Marketview Java API
