If you add ",venc=ffmpeg{keyint=3}" after the vcodec bit of your transcode string, that will clear it up. While you're at it, add "audio-sync" and "deinterlace" to prevent the sound sync wandering.
Perhaps for the future, we could have a new VLC menu item on the main menu in mvpmc to tell VLC to: Play a VCD or DVD sitting on the VLC box Play from a capture source attached to the VLC box (webcam or TV card) (anything else we can think of?) These would be tied in with the existing VLC settings and save you having to manually start the streaming as mvpmc would do all the work. Just pop the DVD in, press VLC/Play DVD on mvpmc and off you go - and of course, because it would be tied in with the new VLC controls we have, you could seek, pause, discover position on the OSD, etc. This would be reasonably straightforward to do - would anyone be interested in this? I personally wouldn't use it (I have a DVD player and wouldn't want to walk upstairs to put it in the VLC machine!) but if there's enough demand I'll look at how much work it is to add it in.
