I've been trying in vain for the last few days to get mvpmc to talk to my mythtv mysql database- whatever settings I put in the dongle.config file it never seems to work.
Here is my current dongle.config: TZ=GMT+0BST,M3.5.6/2,M10.4.6/2; export TZ; echo "TZ='GMT+0BST,M3.5.6/2,M10.4.6/2'" > /etc/shell.config; echo "export TZ" >> /etc/shell.config; rdate -s 192.168.1.200; mvpmc -s 192.168.1.200 --mythtv-database mythconverg --mythtv-username mythtv --mythtv-password ****** & Watching recordings works (apart from the fact the timecode on the OSD is always totally wrong). I see the name of the recording and the programme description (does this info come via the myth protocol or the mysql connection?). I know my database is accessible over the network as another full mythtv frontend box works fine. Attempting to access the tv guide or program finder always brings up a "Database error - Please check you settings" message. My server is running mythtv 0.19 on Debian Sarge - is there an incompatibility between this version and mvpmc? I've tried both a recent daily build and 0.3.1 to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated. -- drbob ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
