There are many problems here.

- the developer list is out of control with user questions
- as you said not enough people subscribe to the users list to fix
what is broken
- both lists are out of control because of repetition of the same faq's.
- the forums on sourceforge absolutely stink
- mailing lists aren't as friendly as the more common web forum and I
think they frighten away users.  There are even questions and problems
being posted on the wiki.

The only good thing is gmail does a great job of keeping cross posted
threads together and with the gig's of storage I can keep them online
wherever I am.

I'm not expecting many if any, responses or a discussion. By not cross
posting or complaining about cross posting, I fear that the it will
only make the dev list worse.
