Hy.
I got my Computer in a Network where there is a DHCP-Server which behaves a
little special: It assigns IP's to every PC which is connected to the network
but only computers which got their MAC-Adress registered at the server get
access to the network. Also (and this is the problem) the hostname for the
dhcp-request has to be in a special format. I registered the MAC-Adress at
the Server but I am unable to change the hostname which the mvp sends. The
Problem is: The MVP gets a IP-Adress (at least I think so) but the whole
network acess is blocked because of the wrong hostname.

The question now is: Is it possible to change the hostname the mvp sends at
the dhcp-requests. If its not possible (what i think), another question:
If I setup a DHCP-Server on my Computer (wich is in the network and I can of
course change to the right hostname) is it possible to make I only respond to
requests by my mvp, because otherwise I would also assign adresses to pcs in
the network. How can this be accompilshed?

Thanks
