Hi, First (OT), the 0.3.3 software with NFS works great for my MythTV recordings and the device and software have generally been nice.
I'm trying to rip my DVDs and watch them with the MVP. I'm using MythDVD to rip the VOB files. The VOBs play, but the video studders some and the audio gets out of sync. I mount NFS like this: /etc/nfsmount.sh 192.168.1.202:/var/lib/mythtv /var/myth/ /etc/nfsmount.sh 192.168.1.202:/var/lib/mythvideo /var/mythvideo/ with my ripped videos in /var/mythvideo Reducing the video bitrate takes care of the video studder, but I can't figure out the audio. I'm converting it to mp2, but when I play the mpeg file I hear nothing at all. I've used this guide: http://mvpmc.wikispaces.com/content And some commands I've tried: ffmpeg -i MYMOVIE.vob -vcodec copy -acodec mp2 -ab 192k MYMOVIE.mpg ffmpeg -i MYMOVIE.vob -vcodec mpeg2video -qmin 5 -qmax 2 -b 2000k -acodec mp2 -ab 192k -ac 2 -vol 1024 MYMOVIE.mpg One funny thing is if I don't reencode the audio, I still can't hear it. ffmpeg -i MYMOVIE.vob -vcodec mpeg2video -b 5000k -acodec copy MYMOVIE.mpg I would expect to hear audio with that conversion, but I don't. Any advice is appreciated.
