Well, a lot has changed, so I think it's time for an update.
Thanks to the latest patch (6/1), I am now able to watch Live TV on
Myth using the latest build! Thanks to everyone involved for making
that patch available.
I have created and submitted a patch that addresses the 4-digit channel
change problem. That makes Live TV actually usable for me.
Unfortunately, I am not able to play "Recordings" from Myth. This
worked on earlier versions but does not seem to work on the latest daily
build. I'm wondering if this is working for anyone. If so, maybe we
can compare notes and figure out why it's not working here.
Also, I have never been able to get the wireless connection working
with mvpmc. The Media MVP startup sees it, because I can get a
connection, get an IP, and download mvpmc with ONLY the wireless
connection. Once the mvpmc software loads, however, it sits on the
"www.mvpmc.org" screen until I plug in the wired ethernet. I'm
wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that I'm running a
secure wireless (well, WEP anyway) with a key. It certainly sound like
other people are using wireless and I'm surprised it doesn't work for
me.
All in all, I'm making progress with mvpmc and am looking forward to
getting all these little issues ironed out.
