Hi, I have the following configuration: - Wireless MVP Model 86017 Rev H3 Lot 3406 - P3 500 Mhz/384MB running Ubuntu 6.10 and MythTV 2.0 with WinTV PVR-150. - Wireless router that also provides DHCP. In the past, I was able to use the wMVP as the frontend for GB-PVR that ran an a Windows machine I had. It ran fine with both the original donble and the mvpmc dongle.
Now, I want to serve my MPEG2 videos from the MythTV box, but I'm unable to boot the MVPMC. I tried the TFTP method and the python script. I checked the wiki, and looked at http://mvpmc.wikispaces.com/bootsever. I don't even understand that the config column means. I'd rather have the router handle DHCP, but if it's impossible, I'll burden my P3 a bit more... How far am I getting so far? Not very far. When I turn on the wMVP I see the 5 white "boxes", they all turn to white (can't see the 5th turn to white as the screens blanks afterwards), then I get a "checking network status..." message, and after a while, I get the following message: No streaming server found! Please check your network settings and make sure server is running. Again, I would like to mention the wMVP worked fine with GB-PVR, including loading mvpmc, running telnet against it, using emulation mode, etc. Please advise on what steps I should try. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
