Hello all,

I have searched the mailing list archive and wiki and could not
find an answer to the issue that I am having, so I thought that I
would post here to see if I am missing something.

I have a version H3 MediaMVP and by following the instructions at
http://mvpmc.wikispaces.com/LinuxFlashboot I have had it booting the
dongle.bin.mvpmc-0.3.3 for the last few months just fine. DHCP and
TFTP are served from an older version of KnoppMyth (R5D1 I believe),
that also serves as the Mythtv backend.

I cannot get the MVP to boot a newer version of the dongle.bin from
the daily builds. I have tried dongle.bin.mvpmc-20070729 and
dongle.bin.mvpmc-20070626 and both seem to have some issue during
load. I copy the new daily build over my dongle.bin and
dongle.bin.ver file, unplug and replug in the MVP, and I end up with
the "Failed to Locate GUI Server" message.

If I copy the dongle.bin.mvpmc-0.3.3 back over, the MVP starts
right up, so I think all the daemon configs should be okay. I do
notice that the new daily builds are larger than the 0.3.3 file
(3781152 vs 3457568 bytes), but I don't see anywhere that the
difference in file sizes would make a difference.

I have looked at the output of mvprelay and the contents of
/var/log/daemon.log and I don't see any indications of what may be the
issue here. Is there something that I may have missed? Thanks in
advance.

I'd also like to send a big thanks to the developers of MVPMC for
developing this useful piece of software.

Chuck
