I don't think I have seen where you are seeing, I don't think any of the ATSC
streams have any mp2 audio in them.
AC3 works but is out of sync with the video.
I take it those recordings were SD resolution and bit rates? HD stuff just
won't work, I have had decent luck with SD ATSC streams, except for the audio
being out of sync, and converting the audio from AC3 -> MP3 is fairly fast
(5-10
minutes per hour of video), and can be done automatically through a user job.
