This page: http://mvpmc.wikispaces.com/commskip has some information on configuring mvpmc for database access. (Looks like we need to create a better page dedicated to this topic.) If your database name, user name, or password are not the defaults compiled-in to mvpmc, you need to supply command line switches via a startup script (dongle.bin.config). There is a menu option on the MythTV setup menu to test the database connectivity.
