Have there been any changes to the A/V sync code in the past few months? I've noticed that when resuming playback in the MythTV client of mvpmc after skipping over commercials, that I'm seeing sync issues. Late last year/earlier this year, the A/V sync had vastly improved and only rarely posed a problem. But with the nightly I was using from last April, the number of incidents increased a bit, and with the build I installed recently to test Roger's patches, the problem seems even worse. I had to resort to using the record key trick to force a delay for the first time in something like 6 months. Nothing has changed on the back-end in this time frame.
