720p (1280x720) or 1080i (1920x1080)?

I mean if possible the full line with the times, it looks like this:

Transcoded 4381_20080723232800.mpg (1920x1080-2516.781 sec) in 41:28.84 with
95%
CPU to mvpmc with vbps=1297.255Kbps and abps=192.000Kbps

If I did the script right it should be logging that info.

Assuming that it is a 1080i my 2Ghz Sempron would take the above 42 minutes for
about 41.5 minutes of programming, I would expect a 3ghz windsor to be at least
50% faster, so mine should take 60 min or so, so it is the expected 50% faster,
and I was also not sure how much faster a 3Ghz one was.

What is interesting is to know if the 2.1/2.2/2.3Ghz Phemon (X3/X4) are faster
or slower on a cpu by cpu basis than your 3Ghz windsor (almost the fastest AMD
of the pre-phemon generation). If each core is actually slower a dual core
Windsor is a better deal, if each core is as fast or faster then the Phemon
might be worth the extra. The Phemon's do 2x the operations per clock cycle
that the Windsors do, and I know on FPU benchmarks this makes a big difference,
but I don't know if it holds for transcoding.

Thanks Clay.
