Ah, I see.  That makes some sense.  I should probably add that fact
to the wiki.

I suppose that works, but it seems like a hack.


I've got Comcast cable and they've been gradually dropping
support for analog channels, so there's been less and less
available for my mythtv's Hauppauge PVR 150 to record.  I added
an HDHomeRun tuner to get the digital channels, but the audio
in the recordings it makes is AC3, and, as already discussed
here, there is no A/V sync for AC3 audio.  The bit rate (for SD
recordings) seems within the playable range for the MVP, but
it's unwatchable as the audio and video are typically out of
sync by several seconds.

In an ideal world, I'd like to be able to use the mvpmc's mythtv
client interface and have everything just work transparently.
