It seems that commercial skipping stops functioning if I have left my MVP on for long periods of time without using it (over night or during the day while at work).
When I notice this happening, if I restart the mvpmc frontend (green power button is enough) and restart the very same show and check the same commercial break, it works fine. I'm guessing this has something to do with MySQL's client connection timeout. Does the mvpmc code handle a loss of connection to the MySQL DB? Does it have any sort of heartbeat to keep the connection open and prevent the time out? -- Jamin W.
