Can you clarify what you mean by that? I see a situation quite often where the first time a commercial skip is invoked, the MVP gets stuck on a black frame. Pressing the skip button again often causes it to jump back to a point prior to the commercial break, and the another press or two will accomplish the commercial skip. It then works OK on subsequent skips during that program. I suspect this is related to the problem where pushing the right arrow button to jump forward by 1% will often fail (black screen again) at the beginning of a video, but if you stop and restart the video, it'll work normally. And I suspect both are caused by a bug where mvpmc's pointer for where it currently is in a video isn't getting properly initialized. Shouldn't be that hard of a bug to track down. > ...and other times the boxes just reboot. I've been running a fairly old dongle for almost a year now, I think, and I saw this symptom for the first time just recently. Within a certain time frame, skipping forward during a commercial break at any point in any show results in a warm restart. It might have corresponded with a period in which my back-end server was heavily loaded. Perhaps if MySQL doesn't respond to one of the commercial skip queries quickly enough, something goes off the track. In my case it seems to have gone away as quickly as it appeared, but if you can reproduce it, you might want to capture the log while it happens. A review of the commercial skip code might turn up the cause. > Another issue is stuttering video and audio from time to time. This could be due to network or back-end slowdowns, as Roger mentioned, but it is more likely to be due to mvpmc running low on memory.
