What do you think are my chances for success, trying to build SqueezeSlave on
the MVPMC?
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/SqueezeSlave
I'm using SS on some really low performance PCs and it works great, best of
all non-GUI solutions that I've found. It supports a basic ncurses textual
interface with functions tied to individual keys (next, prev, up, down, vol +,
vol -).
Since the MVPMC music client is balky with more recent versions of Squeezebox
Server, I'm playing music with some M3U playlists that essentially turn my
MVPMC into a basic web client. I'd like to restore access to some of the
higher level Squeezebox functions like player synchronization. Squeezeslave
seems to serve that purpose on other hardware.
Thanks!
Ron
