There are some issues with books that use devanagari script.

For example, I tried to create a pdf book with one page of the book
at
https://wikisource.org/wiki/%E0%A4%86%E0%A4%B0%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%AF%E0%A5%8B%E0%A4%A6%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%A6%E0%A5%87%E0%A4%B6%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%AF%E0%A4%B0%E0%A4%A4%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%A8%E0%A4%AE%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%B2%E0%A4%BE

The rendering is not proper in the pdf, I am attaching the correct
rendering (on OSX 10.11.1) as well as the rendering in the pdf.

There could be one or more root causes of this issue:

1. A font that does not contain conjucts is used while creating the pdf
2. The rendering engine used by the program that generates pdfs does not
know how and when to convert devanagari characters into conjucts.

This problem will prevent the books feature from being useful for books
that are devanagari script.

Questions:
A. Is there a configuration / tweak that can be done to solve this problem?
B. Is the book rendering code available for inspection and contributions?

Thanks in advance.
