This is correct. But I would rather change the order: 1) Upgrade PPC and disconnect it 2) Upgrade Desktop 3) Connect PPC and Sync
Otherwise you will see a warning message after your step 1) that PPC version is out of date. But it is not critical - you will just upgrade PPC on your step 2) and it will work. Andrey.
