Wow, sounds like you are jumping to snap judgments rather quickly there. MLO Android is still in beta so there are a few kinks to work out, but it is very functional once you understand it, in my opinion.
First, check your Inbox on Android and make sure that the Inbox doesn't have the property "Hide-In-Todo" still set from a bug in the original template. If that doesn't work, give us more details (which sync mechanism? where are the tasks missing? etc) and ask for help, and we can try to help you out. Also you might have better luck posting to the Android specific group, groups.google.com/group/MLO-Android.
