Hi, Stéph. I'm dealing with unmodified out-of-the-box hotkeys. As you noted below, "*Alt-1 toggles [the focus] between the task description in the outline pane and the Notes pane*" - but when toggling *from* the outline *to *the notes pane, it also makes the notes pane visible, which means that if the right pane is hidden (alt-f2) then alt-1 reverses that and reveals the pane, and if the pane is showing task properties, alt-1 collapses the task properties revealing the notes pane.So, by hitting Alt-1 once (if the current focus is in the outline) or twice (if the current focus is anywhere else) the notes panel is expanded and focus goes to the notes.
Similar situation happens on the reverse. Alt-2, as you noted, "opens and closes the General Properties Group." If the General Properties group is not visible, opening it causes it to become revealed, reversing alt-F2 if necessary and hiding the expanded notes if it's showing. Closing the General Properties group moves the focus to the outline but leaves the right pane displayed and task properties displayed. So hitting Alt-2 once or twice will result in the focus in the outline and task properties showing.
