We suspect that the freezing issue is caused by antivirus software, or rather its "Do not disturb" functionality. Please specify which AV you are using. If you are using Avast/AVG please try removing this feature completely following the steps: Open AVG Internet Security > Menu > Settings > Components > Do not disturb > Click on the drop down > Uninstall Component Let us know if it helps or if the issue still persists so that we can help you further.
