I just want to point out that it is not true--you do not have to pay for 
cloud if you simply use what they call "WiFi Syncronization" (see Options 
in the Windows version). It is easy for me, but I admit the cloud sync is 
more automated. WiFi sync works for me, knowing it's requirements and 
remembering to sync when I need it. Leaves me in control. It is 
specifically for when I have one computer and one phone to keep my tasks in 
sync.

Certainly, for some it might be worth ongoing cost for cloud whether they 
don't understand IP networks or don't want to decide when to sync, but it 
was certainly worth learning even if I do use cloud sometimes. I prefer 
this kind of sync for security reasons.
