{MyLUG #361} Configuring Creative Vibra sound card in Ubuntu 5.10

Hi, I am a linux newby.  I have installed Ubuntu 5.10 in my PII 300, 128 system with win XP about 3 days back.  It failed to recognise my logitech serial scroll mouse, but it is working after I edited xorg.conf and added "intellimouse" to it.  My problem is I am not getting sound.  The sound card is shown as ensonique in Alsamixer.  It is creative vibra sound card which works in RedHat 9.  In Ubuntu XMMS opens mp3 files after I installed the plugins, but there is no sound.  HOW TO configure sound card?  Please tell me. I have three Ubuntu 5.10 CD sets (Live and Install) which I can give to anyone interested in trying. -Murthy
