That 'discharge' urban myth survives first because it was necessary for early technology NiCd batteries. Many simply hear a myth, never learn the 'whys', and then continue to promote that myth for all batteries. Others have properly identified a different. Yours are Lithium; not NiCd. Don't stop there. More important question is 1) why the myth still exists and 2) why you believed it when the myth did not come with any supporting facts or numbers. No numbers is your first indication that he was lying. No numbers is necessary to promote junk science.
