Hi all, I am new to this group, and I would like to start the my first post here by sharing links to some articles in the Free/Open source world, if you have already read these please do inform me as I don't have to create a unnecessary post, or if you like I would continue posting such articles in the future.
My Background- I am a engineer(EandC branch), I live in Mysore, and first started my journey in OSS with Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon, and now from a year I am using Debian. I 'initiated and introduced' the use of GNU/Linux in our college(I have graduated, so I am not in that group now), and now the college is slowly migrating to GNU/Linux(The people are familiar with Windows only). Currently I am helping one more NGO- Pratham(Mysore Branch) (http://www.prathammysore.org/) to migrate to GNU/Linux. Waiting for your response and hope you enjoy reading these. http://deepakphatak.blogspot.com/2008/05/this-is.html (My open letter on OOXML happenings in India - Prof Deepak B Phatak, IIT Bombay, India) http://jeffhoogland.blogspot.com/2011/05/open-source-applications-for-math.html Open Source Applications for Math Teachers http://linuxmigrante.blogspot.com/2011/04/linux-is-spoiling-me.html (Linux is Spoiling Me!!) http://www.geek.com/articles/games/game-developer-david-braben-creates-a-usb-stick-pc-for-25-2011055/ (Game developer David Braben creates a USB stick PC for $25) http://techrights.org/2011/04/21/market-abuses-in-india/ (Software Corruption Leads to Protests in India, Again) Warm Regards, Zubair Sharief. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLUG" group.
