Follow-up Comment #4, bug #17536 (project mypaint):
Hm the problem goes a bit deeper: the filename in the ZIP doesn't have the
utf8-flag set, so it's likely to screw up in other applications as well.
Jon, this should probably also be fixed in GIMP's ora code. If GIMP is saving
an ORA with utf-8 filenames, the bits really should be set correctly. Zipfile
will need a little bit convincing to do that (it's fixed in python3 though -
I'm testing with python 2.6.6 here).
We have the same problem when exporting bruspack ZIP files, but at least
those are not meant to be exchanged between different applications. This will
need fixing, too...
