Follow-up Comment #8:
Marking as fixed, but really no longer relevant. The layers list has changed
significantly in git since this bug was opened: we now use a gtk.TreeView for
the list, and double-click renaming now works in the way users probably
expect. It now happens whether the thing you double-click on is initially
selected or not.
