Follow-up Comment #1, bug #19547 (project mypaint):
I've had the same problem before, but not often, and mostly with the colour
selector in MyPaint. It's not nearly as frequent as in Gimp: I constantly
have to click random parts of the UI to get the pen to work on the toolbox and
colour selectors in Gimp.
To clarify, what happens is parts of Gtk applications become unresponsive to
pen input until I either use the mouse or interact with a different window
(usually the canvas) in the same application with the pen. It's probably not
specific to MyPaint and Gimp, but those are the only Gtk applications I use
frequently with the pen.
I also use KDE (oxygen widgets), and my Gtk theme uses the nodoka engine, so
it's not the oxygen-gtk engine typically used by KDE users at fault here.
I have no idea how to determine where the fault lies, so I just deal with the
occasional MyPaint problem and try to avoid using Gimp, which does it very
often. :|
