Follow-up Comment #1, bug #19786 (project mypaint):
Yes, rewriting everything but the C/C++ code means rewriting 80% of MyPaint.
Might as well start from scratch instead, and consider to only use MyPaint's
brushlib, which is shaping up nicely now as a stand-alone library.
