There is now a PyGTK compatibility module in PyGObject: pygtkcompat

This should make it possible to run MyPaint on top of GTK+ 3 and pyGI without
too much initial porting, and then to allow a gradual migration towards the
"real" pyGI APIs.
The low hanging fruits are probably still valid.
