Follow-up Comment #1, bug #20066 (project mypaint):
The possible brush settings didn't change, only the brush file format. In
theory, git and 1.0.0 brushes are still fully compatible.
Obviously we cannot fix this in MyPaint 1.0.0 any more. But maybe we should
add a compatibility warning for future versions. A simple version check would
probably be too bothersome, it would warn way too often if brushes are
actually compatible. (I'm a bit surprised that you didn't get an exception
actually.)
