please, and let me know if it has the behaviour you want now?
Note that drawing, changing opacities, and changing layer modes now move the
list back to the current layer. The idea is to keep the current layer visible
in the list as much as possible so users don't get too lost, but also to allow
activating/deactivating lots of layers far away. Tricky balancing act...!
